Cardinals Break into the AVCA Poll at No. 25

UofL is 11-4 and 4-0 in the ACC
The University of Louisville volleyball team broke into the AVCA Coaches Poll this week at the No. 25 position.

The Cardinals are 11-4 and 4-0 after the first two weekends of the ACC slate and are on a five-match winning streak. UofL is led by juniors Melanie McHenry, who has 186 kills and Megan Sloan, who has 146. Senior setter Wilma Rivera runs the show with 574 assists and 105 digs. She also has notched 28 blocks. Freshman Emily Scott has 47 blocks and is hitting .340 in the front row. Louisville native Molly Sauer is leading the team in digs with 237 and service aces with 20 and is the second all-time digger in UofL history.

Louisville has beaten NC State, UNC, Georgia Tech and Clemson thus far with its four losses all coming to Top 20 teams. The Cards are in a three-way tie for first in the ACC with Pitt and Syracuse.

UofL, under the guidance of second-year coach Dani Busboom Kelly, will face Duke on Friday at 5 p.m. and Wake Forest at 1 p.m. on Sunday, both in Cardinal Arena.
