Cardinals will honor four seniors in a pregame ceremony
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Cardinals (10-6, 2-4 ACC) host No. 7 Syracuse (13-4, 5-1 ACC) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at UofL Lacrosse Stadium to close out the regular season. The Cardinals will honor four seniors in a pregame ceremony.
The Cardinals are coming off an 11-8 loss at No. 15 Virginia over the weekend. Sophomore McKayla Conti lead all goal scorers with two, while junior Jillian Balog scored a goal and assisted on another. Junior goalkeeper Brittany Read recorded 14 saves in the loss.
Senior Hannah Koloski continues to lead the Cardinals with 57 goals and two assists for 59 points, while also leading the country in free-position goals per game (1.63) and shots on goal per game (6.31), while ranking second in goals with 57 and third with shots per game with 8.19. Sophomore Meghan Siverson has 54 points from 48 goals and six assists. Nationally, she ranks third in shots on goal per game (5.94), seventh in shots per game (7.81), 12th in free-position goals per game (1.06), and 14th in goals with 48. Freshman Ashley Lynch leads the team in assists with 17. Read carries a 9.53 goals-against average, 10.06 saves per game, a .514 save percentage, and 161 saves into the matchup. Read ranks 16th in saves per game, seventh in save percentage, and fourth in saves nationally.
The Orange are coming off an 11-8 win over No. 12 Cornell on Tuesday to give them their fifth straight win. Devon Parker scored three goals and assisted on two more, while Riley Donahue assisted on three goals and scored twice. Goal keeper Asa Goldstick stopped 11 shots in the win.
Syracuse is led by Donahue, who has 52 points from a balanced attack of 31 goals and 21 assists. Emily Hawryschuk has 37 points from 31 goals and six assists and Nicole Levy has 36 points from 20 goals and 16 assists. Goldstock carries an 11.29 goals-against-average, a .440 save percentage, and 169 saves on the season.
