Lacrosse Hosts Vanderbilt on Wednesday Afternoon

Cardinals face the Commodores at 3:00 p.m. at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville lacrosse team takes the field this Wednesday when they host Vanderbilt for a midweek matchup at 3:00 p.m. at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
No. 20 Louisville (3-1) is coming off their first loss at No. 16 Denver (4-0) over the weekend. The Pioneers found the game-winning goal on a free-position shot in triple-overtime to take the 11-10 victory over the Cardinals. Senior Hannah Koloski led the way for the Cardinals with four goals, while Meghan Siverson finished with three. Junior goalie Brittany Read stopped as season-high 13 shots in the contest.
Siverson leads the Cardinals with 16 goals and two assists for 18 points. McKayla Conti is second with 12 goals and two assists for 14 points. Koloski rounds up the top scorers with 11 goals and one assist for 12 points. Freshman Ashley Lynch leads the team in assists with six on the year. In goal, Read has played every minute for the Cardinals. She owns an 8.31 goals against average and has collected 38 saves and 11 ground balls.
The Commodores are coming off a 17-5 win in their season opener over Kennesaw State. Julie Blaze led the way in the victory tallying five goals and an assist, while Kayla Peterson added three goals and an assist. The duo of Commodore goalies stopped eight shots in the game.
This will be the eighth time the Commodores and Cardinals have tangled with UofL leading the all-time series 5-2, including a 15-5 victory in last season's contest in Nashville.
