Grant wins the 200 meter dash on the first day of competition
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Louisville track and field teams wrapped up the first day of competition at the Music City Challenge with one win and three top five finishes. Sophomore Raven Grant led the Cardinals with a win in the 200 meter dash.
"Raven Grant did a great job of finishing in the 200 meters," said head coach Dale Cowper. "She didn't get a great start but was able to use the finishing strength she has been working on to pick up the win tonight. I was also very pleased to see Renate van Tonder have her best series of the season in the triple jump. She was very consistent tonight with all three of her jumps over her previous season best."
