
Synclair Savage Claims Long Jump Gold on Day Two of ACC Indoor Championships

Savage soared to a mark of 6.40m (21-0) to win the second conference title of her career.
BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Louisville track & field teams closed out the second day of competition at the ACC Indoor Championships with their second conference title of the weekend, as Synclair Savage claimed gold in the women's long jump.
Savage, the reigning NCAA outdoor champion in the event, soared to a mark of 6.40m (21-0) on her fifth attempt of the competition to earn the second ACC title of her career after also winning the conference title in the long jump at the 2022 ACC Outdoor Championships.
Eve Divinity joined Savage in the top five of the women's long jump, earning Second Team All-ACC honors with a fifth-place finish after posting a mark of 6.11m (20-0.5) in her ACC Championships debut.
In the men's long jump, Miller Jones found his way onto the podium for the first time in his career, notching a runner-up finish after recording a personal-best leap of 7.61m (24-11.75) that moves him to seventh in Louisville history.
On the track, Breanna Braham closed out her freshman campaign with a time of 54.21 in the women's 400m, breaking her own program record of 54.82 that she originally set at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Jan. 31.
Through the first two days of competition, the Louisville men continue to hold at second in the team standings with 31 points, while the women's team moves into a tie for sixth with 16 points.
The third and final day of competition will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET with the start of both the men's triple jump and men's shot put, while the Cards will begin their day on the track with the men's 3000m at 2:30 p.m. ET. Action will be streamed live on ACCNX.
