Sophomore setter/right side takes her turn on the Preseason Blog
Hi Cardinals Fans,Â
It's Morgan Miller and it is my turn to write the Volleyblog today.Â
Day 10 of preseason was one for the books! It started off with breakfast as usual. We were all feeling a little low on energy and super tired, but when it came time for practice we pushed it aside and had a great practice.
After the morning session we were back in Thornton's Center for lunch (yay) after their grand opening the day before. This is when the fun really began. During our rehab times with Nicole, Anne decided we were going to play a game. She told one person on the team a secret and then that person could tell one person and so on until everyone on the team new. The secret was an off session (yay)!!!!!!!!
So at our normal practice time we went to meet in the film room to watch a few clips of practice the night before, but we had another surprise, more gear!!!
We truly are blessed by Adidas and everything our school provides for us. After Christmasin August round 2 was over we watched film and then we announced our team bonding ideas!
There were multiple groups that had to make reveal their ideas and then we voted for which ones we wanted. The winners were a visit to Waverly Sanatorium, which is a haunted building that you can tour and explore.
Next, we have the seasons idea which entails at every new season we do something as a team. First up on that list is a trip to the pumpkin patch for fall!! The last team bonding idea we decided on was to visit Breakout Louisville and try to escape a room!! We are definitely going to be building lots of social capital at these three events.
Well that's a wrap of day 10 and there's only one more to go in the 2016 preseason!
Go Cards!
