Louisville Men’s Soccer Releases 2016 Schedule

Cardinals host 10 matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium; Season tickets and fan experience packages on sale now
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Headlined by 10 matches at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium and nine games against 2015 NCAA Championship qualifiers, the University of Louisville men's soccer team unveiled its 2016 schedule Wednesday.
Under the guidance of head coach Ken Lolla, who is entering his 11th season at Louisville, the Cardinals will look to navigate one of the nation's most challenging and entertaining schedules in 2016, including the program's third season in the ultra-competitive Atlantic Coast Conference. The home schedule features contests against five NCAA qualifiers from last season – Notre Dame (Sept. 16), Virginia (Sept. 24), Indiana (Oct. 11), Ohio State (Oct. 18) and national runner-up Clemson (Oct. 28). The road portion of the schedule includes visits to NCAA tournament teams UConn (Sept. 2), Kentucky (Sept. 6), Boston College (Sept. 30) and Wake Forest (Oct. 15).
Louisville's 17-match regular season schedule begins with back-to-back home games at Lynn Stadium on Friday, Aug. 26 against Butler and Monday, Aug. 29 against Quinnipiac. The Cardinals then take to the road for visits to UConn and Kentucky before opening the eight-match ACC slate on Sept. 9 at Pittsburgh. Louisville then returns home to host Xavier (Sept. 13) and Notre Dame before making a non-conference visit to Saint Louis (Sept. 20). The month of September will conclude with the home match against Virginia and the road contest at Boston College.
The Cardinals will open the month of October with three straight home matches as Belmont (Oct. 4), Syracuse and Indiana visit Lynn Stadium. Following a road match at Wake Forest, Louisville closes the month with two its final three games at home with the matches against Ohio State and Clemson stacked around a visit to NC State on Oct. 23.
Louisville's two-match preseason schedule features road games at Memphis (Aug. 13) and at UAB (Aug. 20).

Ticket prices for the 2016 season will remain the same as the inaugural season and start as low as $2 per person per game. Season tickets for 2016 include every regular season home match for both the men's and women's soccer programs.
2016 LOUISVILLE MEN'S SOCCER KICKOFF BANQUET ON AUGUST 14
The date for the 2016 Louisville Men's Soccer Kickoff Banquet has been set and is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 14 at 5 p.m., ET inside the PNC Club at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Additional details on the event will be announced soon but mark your calendars now for the season-opening event.
