"I am excited about Brianna. She is new to the sport of volleyball, but she is one of the most graceful athletes I have ever seen move. She was accepted into our honors college at Louisville, so not only are we gaining a new player, but we are adding another incredible student to our team," said Anne Kordes, UofL head coach.

Â
Lester was a three year letterwinner at Richardson High School for coach Eric Miracle. She was named  First Team All-District 10-6A in both 2014 and 2015. She was named Richardson High's Offensive MVP in both 2014 and 2015, was an Honorable Mention All-District selection in 2013 as well as being named Richardson's Most Improved in 2013.  As RHS's all time leader in blocks, she is also second in all time kills, sets played and efficiency. A multi-sport athlete, she was a 2016 McDonald All American nominee in basketball and was ranked No. 22 in the state of Texas for basketball. She played club ball at Summit Nitro for Brian Meyers.

An outstanding student, her academic honors include: National Honors Society, First Team All-Academic District 10-6A (2015) and First Team All-Academic District
