
Lacrosse Travels to Vanderbilt for a Midweek Game

The Cardinals returns to the road to face the Commodores
LOUISVILLE, KY. – The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team will travel to Vanderbilt on Tuesday for the second road test of the 2016 season.
The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 3-0. On Saturday, Louisville defeated Denver 14-3. Hannah Koloski and Kaylin Morissette led the Cardinals with three goals apiece.
Morissette leads the team with seven goals and three assists for 10 points. Kelli Gerding leads the team with six assists. Koloski, Cortnee Daley, and Julia Wood each have scored six goals this season. Sophomore Brittany Read leads the Cardinals in goal with 24 saves and a 4.67 goals against average.
Vanderbilt enters the game with an overall record of 2-0, with wins over Kennesaw St. and Furman. They defeated Furman 16-7 on Feb. 14, Kelly Chandler finished with five goals, scoring four in the first half. Mallory Schonk and Emma Dagres each added three goals in the win.
Kelly Chandler leads the Commodores with eight goals and one assist for nine points. Eamma Daqres leads the team in assists with three. Callahan Kent leads the team in goal with 14 saves and a 6.50 goals against average.
Louisville leads the series 4-2 against the Commodores. Louisville has won the last the games against Vanderbilt, with the most recent being a 16-9 victory last season.
