Worrell Named ACC Swimmer of the Week

Senior heading into Final ACC Championship

Louisville swimmer Kelsi Worrell has been named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Swimmer of the Week.

Worrell earned Female Swimmer of the Week honors after posting an NCAA A-cut time of 1:51.36 in the 200 fly at the Cardinals' First Chance Meet. The senior won the event at last year's NCAA Championships in 1:51.11 and was just .25 off that mark to finish first in Louisville's final meet before the 2016 ACC Championships.

The 2016 ACC Women's Swimming & Diving and Men's Diving Championships begin February 17 and run through February 20. The ACC Men's Swimming Championships run from February 24-27. A live video stream of event finals will be available on ESPN3 on Thursday through Saturday starting at 6 p.m.
