
Women’s Golf Announces Signings of Three Highly Touted Recruits

The Cardinals inked two international recruits and one from Alabama.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's golf head coach Courtney Trimble announced on Tuesday that three highly touted recruits each have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their careers with the Cardinals' program, beginning in 2017.
Trimble, who continues to attract some of the golf world's most talented athletes, signed Jordan Susce (Birmingham, Ala.), Margot Bechadergue (Aix en Provence, France), and Linda Trockel (Berlin, Germany).
"This class brings real excitement because they've had success all over the world," Trimble said. "All three are very competitive and driven to help build Louisville Golf into one of the best programs in the country. We couldn't be more pleased with them, and we believe they will add to the great youth that we already have."

Jordan Susce, Birmingham, Ala., Spain Park High
Highlights: 2014 Birmingham All-Metro Golfer of the Year … runner-up at 2014 6A state championship … nine high school tournament overall victories … three American Junior Golf Association top-10 finishes, including two in the top five … seven Southeastern Junior Golf Tour victories … three-time SJGT Cup winner … 2016 Alabama Women's State Four-Ball Champion … National Honor Society member … Mu Alpha Theta member … two-year academic letterman.
Coach Trimble on Susce: "Jordan is going to be a great addition to our team. She is very hard-working and determined. She is really strong and has only begun to tap into her potential, and her game continues to improve. She is one of the athletes you are always looking for and is driven to consistently get better."

Margot Bechadergue, Aix en Provence, France
Highlights: Participated in several international tournaments, including the European Ladies Amateur Championship … won three Grand Prix Tournaments from 2012-15 … two-time finalist in the Northwestern Regional Match Play Championship (2015, 2016) … placed second at the 2016 Grand Prix … took eighth at the 2015 National Junior Championship … earned third in International Region vs. Region Championship in 2015 … was the Regional Match Play champion in 2013 and 2014, placing second at the National Junior Championship in 2014.
Coach Trimble on Bechadergue: "Margot is a very experienced player. She has been competing against some of the best players in Europe for many years, and she brings a wealth of international experience to our program. We're really eager for her to join our program."

Linda Trockel, Berlin Germany
Highlights: Helped club team win the German Championship as a junior … boasts three International Junior Golf Tour titles … also had three runner-up finishes in the IJGT … earned a College Prep Series 1 victory … helped team win the Academy Cup, placing third as an individual … took second at the Luxembourg International Amateur Championship … was a third-place finisher at the Faldo Series.
Coach Trimble on Trockel: "Linda also brings great international experience. She has been living in the U.S. for two years, living in Hilton Head and working on her game at the International Junior Golf Academy. She has enjoyed many great accolades and has tremendous success in the U.S. and on the international stage."
