
Women’s Golf Wins Riverbend Intercollegiate

It is their second tournament win in as many seasons
SUGAR LAND, Texas — The Louisville women's golf team led wire-to-wire and picked up the tournament win at the Riverbend Intercollegiate after the final round of action at the Riverbend Country Club Tuesday afternoon. It is the second-straight season the Cardinals have come away with a tournament title after they won The Robbie tournament during the fall season last year.
The Cardinals tallied a 9-over-par 873 for the Tournament to clinch the title. In the final round on Tuesday, the Cards posted a 7-over-par 295 for the round.
Leading the way for the Cardinals on the individual leaderboard was Millie Cottrell. She fired her third-straight even-par 72 with three birdies in the final round. For the tournament, she was an even-par 216 and finished tied for fourth overall. It is her best individual finish in a tournament since Fall of 2024, when she finished third at The Robbie.
Thienna Huynh was a few strokes behind her as she concluded the tournament with a 2-over-par 218. In her final round, Huynh was 1-over-par 73 and she finished in seventh place for the tournament. It was her best finish since she tied for first place at The Robbie last season. This is Huynh's second Top 10 finish this season.
Emree Cameron was just behind Huynh with a 3-over-par 219 for the tournament. She was 4-over-par 76 in the final round to finish tied for eighth overall. This was Cameron's best individual finish through her first three full collegiate tournaments.
Bailey Burkett came away with a Top 10 finish after carding a 4-over-par 220 for the tournament. She was 2-over-par 74 in the final round and finished in a tie for 10th overall. It is her best individual finish of the season and it is the fourth time she has finished in the Top 20 this season.
Veronika Exposito closed the tournament out with a 5-over-par 77 in the final round on Tuesday. She finished tied for 35th overall at 12-over-par 228.
The Cardinals will be back in action again on March 23 when they head south for the Bentwater Women's Collegiate. Hosted by Kennesaw State and it will be held at the Bentwater Golf Club in Acworth, Ga. The 54-hole tournament will begin on March 23 and end the next day on March 24.
