
Women's Soccer Hosts No. 15 Clemson on Senior Day

Cardinals will face the Tigers on Sunday for another Top 25 matchup
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville women's soccer team will  host Clemson in Lynn Stadium on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.  The Cardinals will honor five seniors in a pregame ceremony.  Â

ABOUT THE CARDINALS
Louisville will try to bounce back from a 2-1 double overtime loss to no. 15 Notre Dame in double overtime on Saturday. This was the Cardinals' first loss in ACC play this season and ended a four game unbeaten streak.Â

Brooklynn Rivers leads the Cardinals with 10 points. Â She has four goals and two assists on the year. Â Gabrielle Vincent enters the game second on the team in points with three goals and two assists, while Jill Vetere and Allison Whitfield each add two goals and three assists on the year.Â

Taylor Bucklin leads the Cardinals in goal with a 7-3-2 record and five shutouts on the season. Â She has a 0.85 goals against average, allowing only 11 goals. Â She also has 38 saves on the year. Â Â Â Â

Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 17th season with the Cardinals. She has guided Louisville to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.
SCOUTING CLEMSON
Clemson enters the match with an overall record of 8-3-2 and an ACC record of 2-1-2. On Thursday the Tigers dropped their first game in ACC play against Notre Dame, 1-0. Â

Senior midfielder/forward Catrina Atanda leads the Tigers with nine goals and four assists on the season. Sophomore midfielder/defender Sam Staab leads the team in assists with nine and has added a goal of her own. Senior defender Claire Wagner is second on the team in goals with four and as assisted on two goals this season.

Senior goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan leads the Tigers in goal with an 8-3-2 record and a shutout on the season. She brings in a 1.07 goals against average and has only allowed 10 goals on the season.

 Head coach Eddie Radwanski is currently in his sixth season at Clemson. He earned NSCAA Regional Coach of the Year honors in 2015 and returned 18 players from last year's team, including all 11 starters. He guided the Tigers to a second place finish in the ACC and a second straight NCAA appearance last year. He was the coach at UNC-Greensboro prior to coming to Clemson.
