Cardinals host ninth ranked Virginia in Lynn Stadium Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville women's soccer team will  face the ninth ranked Virginia Cavaliers on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in Lynn Stadium. Â

ABOUT THE CARDINALS
 Louisville is coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 7 Florida State on Sunday afternoon. The Seminoles scored a late goal in the 81st minute and the Cardinals could not find the equalizer. Â

Brooklynn Rivers leads the Cardinals with 11 points. Â She has four goals and three assists on the year. Â Gabrielle Vincent enters the game second on the team in points with three goals and two assists, while Jill Vetere and Allison Whitfield each add two goals and three assists on the year.Â

Taylor Bucklin leads the Cardinals in goal with a 7-6-4 record and five shutouts on the season. Â She has a 0.98 goals against average, allowing 18 goals on the year. Â She also has collected 70 saves this year. Â Â Â Â

Junior forward Veronica Latsko is second on the team in points with 17 and second on the team in goals with seven and third on the team in assists with three. Megan Reid is second on the team in assists on the year with four.Â

Senior goalkeeper Morgan Stearns leads the Cavaliers in the goal. She has a 0.67 goals against average and has logged 33 saves on the year. Â She has only allowed 11 goals on the season.

Steve Swanson is in his 17th season as the head coach of the Cavaliers. He has a 254-76-38 record during his tenure at Virginia. He has won two ACC titles and made the NCAA tournament every year. Swanson took his 2013 team to the College Cup, as well. Â
