Worrell Wins Gold at Pan Ams

University of Louisville swimmer Kelsi Worrell won her third medal and second gold when she helped the USA women's 400-meter medley relay to victory, splitting 57.34 en route to the winning time of 3:56.53 Saturday evening at the Pan American Games in Toronto.
The time was a Pan American record. The Americans foursome of Natalie Coughlin, Kate Meili, Worrell and Allison Schmitt qualified first with a time of 3:57.35 with Kelsi splitting her butterfly leg with a 57.63.
For the Cardinal men, Marcelo Acosta finished 4th in the 1500-meter freestyle in a new personal best time of 15:16.26, shaving six second off his previous mark.
