The No. 64 ranked University of Louisville women's tennis team continues home dual match play this weekend with two key matches. The Cards will face ACC foe Pittsburgh at 11 a.m. for their first conference match of the season before taking on Saint Louis at 4 p.m. Both matches will be played at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Louisville is coming off a two-win weekend after defeating Xavier 5-2 and sweeping Northern Kentucky 7-0. The Cards currently sit at 7-1 in dual match play, with their only loss coming to No. 4 Duke at the ITA Kickoff Weekend. After both going 2-0 this past weekend, freshmen Ariana Rodriguez and Jessie Lynn Paul boast perfect 6-0 singles records. The doubles teams of Elle Stokes and Rodriguez (4-0) and Olivia Boesing and Chloe Willetts (4-0) also remain perfect on the season.
Pittsburgh fell 5-2 to Penn State Wednesday before traveling to Louisville. The Panthers are 0-3 in dual matches after falling to then-No. 7 Baylor (0-7) and No. 25 Tulsa (1-6). Pittsburgh is led by sophomores Audrey Ann Blakely and Lolade Ogungbesan, who became the first doubles team to reach the quarterfinals of the ITA Regionals in program history. The Panthers also look to senior Molly Wickman, who recently became the 15th player in the Panthers' program history to earn 100 victories in her career.
Saint Louis boasts a 2-0 record in dual match play this season after defeating Creighton (6-1) and SIU Edwardsville (6-1). The Billikens will take on Western Illinois on Friday before facing the Cards. Sophomore Aspen Cervin leads the way at No. 1 singles for Saint Louis after earning first team All-Conference accolades and being named the A-10 Most Outstanding Rookie in 2014. She advanced past the opening round of the ITA Regionals this past fall, but bowed out in the round of 32.
