The University of Louisville and Head Coach Anne Kordes is adding three new camps to the summer camp lineup. The Cards will be hosting 11 different volleyball camps throughout the summer for students age 4 - 18.
The newest three camps added are two sessions of VolleyTots for the tiniest volleyball players from age 4-8. Coach Kordes also added a Libero Camp as well.
The Libero Camp on July 16 is designed for athletes who have identified themselves as a libero or defensive specialist. This camp will focus on passing and defensive techniques. Campers will learn the skill of forearm passing, overhead passing, various defensive techniques and reading the attacker. Campers will also learn leadership skills that are crucial to the libero position.
Louisville Volleyball VolleyTots programs are designed to teach young boys and girls ages 4-8 the FUNdamentals of volleyball. Teaching basic drills using scooters, ladders, and large volleyballs, children will increase foot speed, develop eye-hand coordination, and engage in social development. The first camp is scheduled to begin on June 11, with the last camp on July 15. Each of the eight camps will focus on something different to accommodate specific needs of the campers. Participants are welcomed to attend each camp or just one. Prices will vary for each camp depending on the duration of that camp.
Head Coach Anne Kordes will supervise each camp, along with her current coaching staff, and former and current U of L players. There will also be athletic trainers on hand at each camp.
