LOUISVILLE, Ky. - As the 2014 Major League Soccer season kicks off on Saturday, the Louisville men's soccer program will be well represented with eight former Cardinals under contract entering the opening weekend.
Seven of the eight former Louisville players enter the first week of the season on active MLS rosters with Andrew Farrell and Paolo DelPiccolo competing for the New England Revolution, Austin Berry with the Philadelphia Union, Greg Cochrane with the Chicago Fire, Nick DeLeon with the DC United, Marlon Hairston with the Colorado Rapids and Kenney Walker with the LA Galaxy. Jimmy Ockford is under contract with the Seattle Sounders and on loan to the New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League for 2014.
