LOUISVILLE, Ky. - This is the second video in a two-part feature series on University of Louisville junior righthander Kyle Funkhouser. After an All-American collegiate season for the Cardinals in 2014, Funkhouser spent the summer competing for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team.
In six appearances and five starts for Team USA in 2014, Funkhouser was 1-2 with a 1.27 ERA (four earned runs in 28.1 innings) and a team-high 36 strikeouts while allowing just eight walks and 15 hits. Following the team's summer tour, he was chosen as the USA Collegiate National Team's top professional prospect by both Baseball America as well as Jim Callis of MLB.com.
