Hey Card fans!
So yesterday was a pretty eventful day. We started off the day just right with a strong morning practice. Although excitement was rushing for our lake trip as a team, the focus was still there all throughout practice.
After a full three hour practice, we stretched and stepped foot or should I say entire body, into the ice bath. Then it was finally time for the fun. We had the delicious Jason's deli for lunch and on the road we were for Nolin lake.
About an hour and a half later we had arrived. We all went downstairs, changed, and headed to the lake right away on the boats and tubes. Now I don't know if any of you guys have been tubing before but if you haven't, GO! Courtney Robison, Katie George, Emily Juhl, and myself were up first on tubing for the boat we were in.
As Randi Ewing would say, "the Louisville girls like taking risks". We not only jumped from tube to tube, but we formed a couple pyramids while moving about 35-40 mph!
Crazy, I know.
Shortly after, I rode with the one and only Lee Maes. That was an adventure, but it was a blast. Many other tubing activities happened but I would be writing for days if I told you all of them so its time to move on to the evening activities.
WE MADE S'MORES!. Well we did after it took us an hour to start a fire.
Coach Anne showed up the next morning and introduce to us our team building activity, to build a boat and float on it for 1 full minute. I know that doesn't sound long, but once you sink after the first three seconds, it's a long time. My group was myself, Randi Ewing, Brooke Mattingly, Carly Sahagian, and Brooke Betts.
We thought we had brilliant ideas, but I'll just leave off saying our boat wasn't very sturdy. Of course Kaite's group won but ours did have the best artwork due to Brooke Mattingly's artistic abilities.
It was a long trip at the lake, but a lot of fun as you can tell. We go back at it in the morning so we will catch up with you then!
Go Cards!
