LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Tuesday night's third annual "Kickin' it with JT and Friends" clinic hosted by the Louisville men's soccer program and head coach Ken Lolla was another highly success event for both the participants and the volunteers.
The free clinic for children and adults with special needs included more than 30 participants in attendance while dozens of volunteers assisted. The event, which celebrated the gifts of children and adults with special needs while also promoting physical, mental and social development through the vehicle of soccer, was conducted inside the Trager Center rather than outside at Cardinal Park due to weather concerns. The clinic is named for and inspired by JT, a special young man, an avid soccer camp participant and the nephew of Coach Lolla.
Participants in the clinic learned the fundamentals of the game and conducted drills with members of the UofL men's soccer coaching staff, players and other volunteers while also receiving a free t-shirt. The event concluded with free pizza and fun interactions between volunteers and participants.
