Women's Golf Inks Standout Molly Skapik

Louisville women's golf coach Courtney Trimble has announced that Molly Skapik has signed a national letter-of-intent to play for the University of Louisville next season.
"Molly is a tremendous athlete that has developed into a talented golfer," said Trimble. "She is not only an outstanding player but an outstanding person as well. We are thrilled that she has chosen the University of Louisville. We look forward to her making a great impact on our program while having a tremendous career as a Cardinal."
Skapik is a four time Ohio State Tournament qualifier as an individual. She finished fourth overall last season and ninth overall in 2012. She is a two time first team All-Ohio selection. She was named the Greater Western Ohio Conference Player of the Year for three consecutive years.
She medaled in 7 of 8 times in the GWOC preseason and postseason tournaments. She was the medalist on the Plantation, Mid America and Golfweek Junior Tours. Skapik was the medalist at the USGA US Girls' Junior Qualifier at Champion Trace in 2013. She was also the medalist at the Ohio Callaway Junior Qualifer.
Skapik holds the Miamisburg High School record for lowest scoring average at 36.25, lowest career scoring average at 37.15, lowest 18-hole score at 69, and lowest 9-hole score at 33. She is also a three year starter for the varsity basketball team and a member of the National Honor Society.
