
Volleyball Moves to No. 10 in AVCA Poll

The University of Louisville women's volleyball team has moved up in the AVCA Coaches Poll to No. 10 in the nation. The Cards climbed two spots in the last week after being ranked No. 12 in the country to enter the Top 10.
The Cardinals received 869 votes in the Coaches Poll this week compared to the 710 votes that were received last week. The last time that Louisville was ranked in the Top 10 was on Dec. 5, 2005. In that 2005 season, the Cardinals were ranked in the Top 10 for 13 consecutive weeks and the highest the Cardinals climbed in the poll was to No. 6. The No. 6 ranking is the highest that Louisville has reached in women's volleyball history.
Louisville's record is 11-1 this season and the next opponents that they will face will be DePaul (5-7) on Sept. 21 at 7:00 p.m., ET and Notre Dame (7-5) on Sept. 23 at 2:00 p.m., ET.
