
Men's Soccer Hosts Ohio State on Tuesday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The Louisville men's soccer team will host Ohio State on Tuesday, Sept. 18 in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. The Cardinals will be looking to rebound after falling to Kentucky 1-0 on Friday night.
The Cardinals enter the game with an overall record of 3-3-0. Last week Louisville split games, defeating Wake Forest 3-2 in double overtime and falling to Kentucky. Three Cardinals lead the team in scoring, Greg Cochrane, Ryan Smith and Dylan Mares all have four points. Cochrane and Smith have each scored two goals while Mares has one goal and two assists. Cardinal keeper Joachim Ball owns a 1.30 goals against average with one shutout on the year.
The Buckeyes (3-3-1) are coming off a 2-1 defeat of DePaul on Friday night. The Buckeyes scored two second half goals to defeat the Blue Demons. Four Buckeyes have scored two goals apiece this season. Louie Berra leads the team in scoring with two goals and one assist for five points. Ohio State plays two keepers Alex Wimmer has played in four games and owns a 1.75 goals against average. Alex Ivanov has seen action in three games and owns a 1.52 goals against average.
Ohio State holds a slight 7-6-3 edge in the series. The Cardinals have won the last two in the series against the Buckeyes. The Cardinals own a 5-2-2 record at home against the Buckeyes.
