
Men's Soccer Hosts Wake Forest on Tuesday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The No. 14 Louisville men's soccer team will host No. 23 Wake Forest on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. The match is the second of a five game home stand and the first of ranked opponent at home this season.
Louisville is coming off a 3-0 win over Army on Saturday night. Dylan Mares, Buck Tufty and Alex Obbey lead the Cardinals in scoring with one goal and one assist on the season. Cardinal keeper Joachim Ball owns a 1.25 goals against average and has one shutout on the season.
Wake Forest is coming off a 1-1 tie against Clemson and owns a 3-0-1 record. The Demon Deacons have wins over Wofford, Boston University and West Virginia. Michael Gamble leads Wake Forest in scoring with two goals on the season. Michael Lisch owns a 0.47 goals against average for the Demon Deacons with two shutouts.
The series is tied between the two teams at one game apiece. The Cardinals defeated Wake Forest 2-0 last season in Winston Salem. Tuesday's meeting will be the first between the teams in Cardinal Park.
