Hi Cardinal fans, it's Tanya
Another great day for Louisville Volleyball team! It is Day Three of our preseason. Today Lola Arslanbekova turned 22! Congratulation, my lovely friend. I wish you all the best. We start our practice with regular warm up with Hammer. Then we reviewed our defense techniques and did a couple of drills. Also, we went over passing techniques and passing drills. For the first time we did live serve receive. Alex and Chris serve their best serves, but Haley and Caitlin easily pass these balls straight to setter,s hands. Gwen and I were amazed.
After the practice, Hammer, Chad and Dan did a nice relaxation section for us, We did some breathing and stretching exercises. When we were done with practice we have a nice team lunch at Ville Grill. During the lunch Hammer told Lola that he got special present for her. She was wondering what it is going to be. Take a guess what is it? I guess that is was going to be a cookie.
Our afternoon section we start with warm up with Hammer and Dan, then assistant coach Melissa introduce to us new fun warm up game. After this game, Coach Lee review passing drills and we went over game-like serve receive. As usual of the end of the practice we played a lot of wash drills and practice our new rotations that were introduced to us the night before. After the practice we rush over to Ville Grill and eat dinner. Another great day of practice.
P.S. Hammer's special present for Lola was a hug...
