Today was our first off-day of preseason. After three days of training, our team was very thankful to have a day set aside for treatment, rehab, and rest. We all reported to Yum at 10am for treatment with our trainer, Adam. We foam-rolled and got ice baths, and a select few of us had rehab and extra treatment.
A few girls went to the team's favorite place for breakfast, Wagner's, and a few other girls rushed home to catch the Harry Potter marathon. We have all used this day to relax at our apartments for another three days of practice ahead.
I am so proud of what the team has accomplished in just three days of practice. We have learned new defensive systems, and have been working a lot on serving and serve receive.
The best part about our practices so far have been the afternoon sessions when we compete against one another in a lot of six on six wash drills. The gym is full of energy and it's so much fun to be a part of! We are anxious to get out on the court and can't wait to see everyone at our Alumni Game next Saturday at 6pm in Cardinal Arena!
