CardsTV to Stream Volleyball Practice Live

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Excitement continues to build for the approaching volleyball season and now fans can get an early look at the 2012 squad as CardsTV will broadcast the Cardinals' afternoon practice live on Tuesday, August 14 exclusively at www.uoflsports.com/cardstv/
The event, which will be the 10th practice of the fall season for the Cardinals, begins at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Fans who tune in will be able to hear live audio from head coach Anne Kordes, who will be wearing a microphone for the duration of practice. In addition, select student-athletes and assistants will provide viewers with commentary about the drills happening throughout the session with the Voice of the Cardinals, Sean Moth, serving as host of the online broadcast.
Being visible on the national coaching scene over the past ten years, Kordes enters her second season at the helm of her alma mater. She is the current President of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and has annually coached USA Volleyball summer programs including the U.S. Girls' Select A1 National Team and USA Volleyball Girls' Youth National Team. Kordes ranks among the elite coaches in the game. With a career record of 170-84 (.669), she is in the top 50 on the Division I volleyball winningest active coaches list.
The BIG EAST regular-season champions from a year ago return AVCA All-American outside hitter and league offensive player of the year Lola Arslanbekova as well as five starters from last season's 24-9 squad. In July, Prepvolleyball.com ranked the 2012 recruiting class in the Top 30 in their nation rankings which includes Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year Katie George.
Louisville opens the 2012 season on Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET against Western Kentucky on day one of the Active Ankle Challenge at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals will compete against Morehead State (Aug. 25, 11 a.m.) before battling five-time national champion Penn State (Aug. 25, 7:30 p.m.) in a highly anticipated matchup of top programs. The live broadcast will air worldwide from the Yum! Center practice facility on the campus of U of L.
