The No.23 University of Louisville men's swimming and diving team remained first in the rankings at the Purdue Invite after the second day competition. The Cardinal women's team finished the day ranked second.
For the men, Louisville totaled 686 points. In second is Purdue (519), followed by Utah (319), Missouri State (286), Southern Illinois (168), Cincinnati (113), and finally Michigan (93).
For the women, Purdue leads with 739 points. Louisville is in second with 706.5 points, followed by Utah (225.5), Missouri State (164), Cincinnati (150), Southern Illinois (84), and Michigan (60).
In the women's 200-medley relay, the B-Finals team of Mary Mittel, Lucy Kramer, Brittany Robinson, and Grite Apanaviciute touched in second with a time of 1:43.16.
In the men's 200-medley relay, the Cards team of Aaron Young, Kameron Chastain, Joao De Lucca, and Samuel Hoekstra touched first with a time of 1:28.21 in the A-Finals. In the B-Finals, Louisville's Nathan Kinney, Addison Bray, Pedro Coutinho, and Caryle Blondell took first in 1:29.10. In the C-Final, Evan Noble, Michael Haefner, Albert Lloyd, and Alex Burtch touched first in 1:31.87.
Tanya Kylliainen (4:10.24) took first in the women's 400-IM, followed by Abigail Chin (4:15.04), and Victoria Mitchell (4:18.79) for the top three finishes in the A-Final. In the B-Final, Gisselle Kohoyda came in second with a time of 4:26:26.
For the men's 400-IM, Nolan Tesone touched second in the A-Finals in 3:51.93. Louisville's Evan Noble (3:58.57) touched second in the B-Final.
In the women's 100-fly, Kelsi Worrell finished first in the A-Final with a time of 53.02. In second was Devon Bibault touching in at 54.55. In the B-Final, Tanja Kylliainen touched first (54.33) and in the D-Final Grite Apanaviciute came in first (57.88).
Joao De Lucca took first in the men's 100-buterfly with a time of 48.32 in the A-Final. He was followed by Aaron Young (48.64) in second, Juan Lopez (48.76) in third, and Albert Lloyd (48.94) in fourth.
In the A-Final of the women's 200-free, Kelsi Worrell touched first in 1:46.62. Lindsey LaPorte took the B-Final with a time of 1:51.70.
Joao De Lucca (1:36.73) also took first in the A-Final of the men's 200-free, followed by Alex Burtch (1:37.53). Rudy Edelen touched second in the B-Final with a time of 1:40.07. Lemar Linton took the D-Final in 1:40.27.
In the women's 100-breast, Gisselle Kohoyda finished second at 1:03.42 in the A-Final and Lucy Kramer (1:04.90) finished second in the B-Final.
In the men's 100-breast, Addison Bray took first in 53.72, followed by Kameron Chastain in second in 53.85, and Michael Haefner in fourth with a time of 56.19 in the A-Final. Dexter Thomas finished first in the B-Final in 58.02.
For the women's 100-back, Krissie Brandenburg (54.01) took first, Eszter Povazsay (54.22) took second, and Erica Belcher (55.55) took third in the A-Final.
Aaron Young (48.63) finished first in the A-Final of the men's 100-back and Evan Noble (49.52) finished third.
The Louisville women's 200-medley relay team of Mary Mittel, Lucy Kramer, Brittany Robinson, and Grite Apanaviciute finished first in 1:43.16 in the B-Final.
In the A-Final of the men's 200-medley relay, the team of Aaron Young, Kameron Chastain, Joao De Lucca, and Samuel Hoekstra finished first in 1:28.21.
The women's 800-free relay team of Abigail Chin, Kelsi Worrell, Eszter Povazsay, and Breann McDowell finished second in the A-Final with a time of 7:18.08.
For the men's 800-free relay, the team of Lemar Linton, Rudy Edelen, Nolan Tesone, and Bryan Draganosky finished fourth in 6:47.05.
Hannah Gadd finished the day on top in women's 1-mtr diving with a final count of 304.45.
