Simmons Named to BIG EAST Volleyball Honor Roll

Senior middle blocker Amanda Simmons was named to the BIG EAST Volleyball Honor Roll for her play for the week ending Sept. 5.

In a grueling stretch of schedule that included four matches, two against nationally ranked teams, Simmons shone with her steady play and strong defense.

Against Kentucky, she tied a school record for block assists with 12 and had eight kills and two aces against the No.16-ranked Wildcats.

Amanda Simmons was named All-Arizona Wildcat Classic. She hit .500 against #24 Arizona with four blocks. She had 30 blocks on the week and scored 63 points for the Cardinals. The middle blocker also had 15 digs.
