
Austin Berry Named BIG EAST Defender of the Week

Louisville, Ky. - Louisville junior defender Austin Berry was named BIG EAST Defender of the Week the conference office announced on Monday. Berry helped lead the Cardinals to a 1-0-1 start this weekend in the Duke Nike Classic.
Berry led the Cardinals' defense to a 2-1 victory over NC State and played No. 11 Duke to a scoreless tie. Berry and the Cardinal defense held Duke without a shot on goal in 110 minutes. Against NC State, Berry and his teammates allowed just two shots on goal and seven total shots. Berry was named to the All-Tournament Team.
It is Berry's second BIG EAST Weekly honor.
