
J.T. Murray Named BIG EAST Defender of the Week

Louisville, Ky. - Louisville senior J.T. Murray was named BIG EAST Defender of the Week the league office announced Monday afternoon. Murray and the Cardinal defense collected two shutouts on the week to remain undefeated with a 3-0-1 record.
Then senior helped hold Fordham to just one shot on goal Friday evening and scored the game winner 46th minute. Murray blasted a shot from 20 yards out off a Fordham deflection to put Louisville up 1-0. The Cardinals defeated Fordham 2-0. Murray helped hold Appalachian State to no shots on goal in the second half, to secure the consecutive shutout for the Cards.
This is the first weekly award for Murray.
Junior goalkeeper Andre Boudreaux was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly honor roll. Boudreaux collected five saves on the week along with a two shutouts.
