Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team scored in the final minutes to defeat Michigan 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Cardinal Park. The Cardinals improve to 1-1 in the spring season.
The Wolverines got on the board early when Justin Meram crossed the ball inside the box to Jeff Quijano who blasted a shot past the reach of David Stockum in the 10th minute of play. Four minutes later the Cardinals scored the equalizer. Mark Knight got inside the box and recovered the ball from the Wolverine goalie for the goal.

Kenney Walker took the corner kick and set it up at the left post and Knight slipped it past the keeper in the 87th minute for the game-winning goal.
Less than a minute later the Wolverines were awarded a penalty kick for a Cardinal foul in the box. Adam Keller took the shot for Michigan but Stockum punched it out to the left. Michigan was awarded a corner kick but was unable to convert in the final seconds.
