
Men's Soccer Wraps Up Spring Season

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team wrapped up the spring season in Columbus on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals played two 45 minute games against the Columbus Crew and Duquesne. Junior Mark Knight scored off an assist from Colin Rolfe to lift the Cards to a 1-0 win over the Crew. But the Cardinals fell to Duquesne 1-0 in the following game.
The Cardinals had a successful spring season with wins over Michigan, Bradley and the Crew while losing close games to Indiana, Lindsey Wilson and Duquesne. The Cardinals defeated Bradley 3-1. Rolfe led the Cardinals with two goals while freshman Ryan Smith scored as well. Against Lindsey Wilson the Cards were not able to get on the board and fell 1-0.
Knight and Rolfe led the Cardinal attack during the spring season. Knight finished with three goals while Rolfe finished with two goals and an assist. David Stockum and Zach Torp got to see action in goal this spring as well.
