Arslanbekova Wins BIG EAST Rookie of the Week

Lola Arslanbekova, the highest freshman point scorer in the conference this week, was named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week.
She finished seventh in the conference in points per game (4.50) through week three's games. The freshman recorded double-digit kills in all three games and had a double-double with 17 kills and 11 digs against Tennessee Tech. The outside hitter also added eight blocks at Louisville's home tournament and earned All-Cardinal Classic honors.
Arslanbekova, from Tashkent, Uzibekistan, leads the Cardinals in kills with 146 and averages 4.16 per set. The next nearest is Lecia Brown's 2.26 per set.
