Volleyball Travels to Indiana's adidas Classic

The Cardinals fresh off their three set sweep of Indiana State, travel to Bloomington, Ind. for the adidas classic. The Cardinals, 1-0, will take on both Wake Forest and Valparaiso Friday before taking on host Indiana on Saturday afternoon.
Valparaiso won last weekend's Shamrock Invitational title in Notre Dame, Ind., blanking Nevada 3-0, defeating IPFW 3-1 and beating down the host Fighting Irish 3-1. VU's Angie Porché was named the tournament MVP. The Demon Deacons are Wake Forest is off to a 3-0 start after winning the Deacon Invitational with wins over Davidson, Norfolk State and Winthrop.The Hoosiers are 1-3 after their tournament at Long Beach State where they lost to Long Beach State, Missouri State and beat San Francisco.
Louisville leads the series with Valparaiso 1-0 with the only meeting coming in 1987 in Valparaiso. U of L is 3-0 against Wake Forest and last met the Demon Deacons in 2005 with a three-set sweep in Louisville. The Cards are 9-2 against IU with the last meeting coming in 2002 with 3-1 loss to the Hoosiers.
