
Men's Soccer Signs Seven For Next Season

Louisville, Ky. - Louisville head coach Ken Lolla announced that seven players have decided to continue their soccer playing careers at the University of Louisville. Lolla and his staff have added two forwards, two midfielders, two defenders and a goalkeeper to the Cardinal roster for the 2008 season.
"This group of young men will certainly enhance our ability to reach our goals here at Louisville," said head coach Ken Lolla. "They are very talented and have exceptional character and collectively will have an immediate impact on our success. With the core of returning players and the influx of this talented recruiting class, we will be a much deeper team this fall."
Colin Rolfe is forward from Plymouth High School in Canton, Michigan. Rolfe was a first team all-state selection his junior and senior seasons. As a senior at Plymouth Rolfe scored 26 goals and dished out 22 assists. He currently plays for the Michigan State ODP team. Plays club soccer for the Michigan Wolves Soccer Club, which is the reigning State Cup Champions.
Brent Rosendall is a forward from Forest Hill Northern High School in Grand Rapids Michigan. Rosendall was also an all-state selection his senior year. He also earned all-conference honors his sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Rosendall played for the Super Y-League ODP the last two seasons. He also plays on the state ODP team.
Jimmy Crick is a midfielder from St. Xavier in Louisville, Kentucky. Crick earned second team all-state honors his senior year and received the Kentucky High School Coaches Association Outstanding Senior Award. He helped guides St. Xavier to the state championship this season. Crick played club soccer with Javanon 90 helping them to five state championships.
Travis Bally is a midfielder from Plano Senior High School in Plano, Texas. He is currently in his senior year at Plano and has five goals and six assists. Bally earned all-district honors his junior year. He helped guide Plano to a 25-3 record last season.
Matthew Beverin is a defender from Glen Rock High School in Glen Rock, New Jersey. He was an all-state selection his junior and senior years. He also earned league MVP honors his senior year. He also plays for the New Jersey ODP team. Beverin also played or the Super Y and earned MVP and Academy Player of the Year honors.
Chase Rodgers is a defender from Lake Mary High School in Longwood, Florida. He was selected as a national ODP player through his Super-Y league. Rodgers earned all-state honors his senior year and was a first team all-county selection as well. He was named the team MVP his junior and senior seasons.
Mahshad Moin is a goalkeeper from The Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield, Minn. Moin earned all-state honors his junior and senior years. He compiled a .78 goals against average his senior year and a .57 average his junior year. Moin was named the Minnesota Conference Player of the Year and named team MVP his senior year.
