LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Wintry weather conditions have postponed the University of Louisville baseball game against Northwestern on Friday. The teams will attempt to play as many of the three games that were originally scheduled, as the weather allows on Saturday and Sunday.
"We are going to do everything in our power to get three games in this weekend, but obviously the weather is going to make it difficult," noted Head Coach Dan McDonnell.
"Northwestern has made the trip down here, so we will make decisions on a day-to-day basis, based on the field and weather conditions."
The Cardinals will determine on Saturday whether or not the teams will be able to play that day. If the teams do play, first pitch will be at 12:00 p.m.
The same process will be followed on Sunday, with first pitch also at 12:00 p.m., and if the conditions allow, the teams will play a doubleheader on one of the two days.
The FieldTurf surface at Jim Patterson Stadium allows crews to clear snow from the field.
Updates on the weekend schedule will be posted on UofLSports.com and distributed to local and national media outlets. Admission to all regular season home games is free.
