- Louisville finishes the 2007 season with a school-record 47 wins, shattering the previous mark of 39 set in 2002. The Cardinals went 1-2 in their first MCWS appearance, as the Big East is now 2-4 in its two MCWS appearances.
- Logan Johnson's four home runs in the 2007 MCWS tied the series record for most homers in a series. The mark was set seven previous times, most recently by Stanford's Edmund Muth in 2000 (complete list on page 96 of the NCAA MCWS record book).
- Of the six schools to score at least 10 runs in its first two MCWS games, only Tennessee has reached double figures in its third contest. Rice could also achieve the feat if it scores 10 runs against North Carolina on Wednesday.
- Louisville is only the fifth school to score double figures in each of its first two MCWS games.
- Louisville fell to 1-11 when scoring two runs or less.
- Louisville's three hits tied a season low, as the Cardinals also had three hits in a 4-2 loss to St. John's on May 5.
- Logan Johnson was hit by a pitch against North Carolina, increasing his season total to 32, a total which was third on the NCAA single-season charts.
- Chris Dominguez finished the season with a national-high 88 strikeouts after his two strikeouts on Tuesday.
- Boomer Whiting finished the 2007 season with 73 stolen bases, but did not steal a base in the MCWS. Louisville, which had 153 steals entering the MCWS, went 0-for-2 in stolen bases.
