Cardinal Nine Rained Out Friday

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Penn. - The BIG EAST opener for the University of Louisville baseball team at Villianova was rained out Friday. The teams are now scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET.
They teams will play a pair of nine-inning games in the twin bill Saturday and close out the series on Sunday with the originally scheduled game at 12:00 p.m.
Louisville (14-7) has won five straight and 11 of their last 14 entering conference play. The Cardinals swept the three-game series against the Wildcats last season as part of their 12-game winning streak that they carried into the BIG EAST championship game.
Villanova (8-6) has not played a game since March 13 due to adverse weather conditions in the Philadelphia area.
