
Cardinal Nine To Host Cincinnati Friday and Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - With heavy rains in the forecast Sunday, the University of Louisville baseball team has elected to complete their weekend series against Cincinnati by playing a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET at Jim Patterson Stadium. Both games will be nine-inning games. Admission is free.
The teams, which are tied for fourth in the BIG EAST standings with identical 8-7 records, are set to open the pivotal three-game set Friday night at 6:00 p.m. Cardinal junior B.J. Rosenberg, who is 3-1 with a 2.97 ERA in conference games this season, will be on the hill, facing Cincinnati's Steve Blevins.
Friday's game marks the 151st meeting between the teams, dating back to 1924. The teams have met at least once in 80 of the last 82 seasons with Louisville holding a 76-74 edge in the series. The Cards have won seven straight against the Bearcats and 10 of the last 11.
