The University of Louisville women's tennis team has moved up to No. 74 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's poll. The Cardinals are 9-1 with six shutouts this season.
"It is nice to move up in the rankings," said Greg Davis. "We feel that we are getting better and the rankings confirm that."
The Cardinals host Kansas and Wright State this Saturday with the Jayhawks' match beginning at 10 a.m. followed by the Raiders at 5 p.m. in the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
"We are facing a tough Big 12 team in Kansas which is improved and well-coached. Wright State has one of the strongest teams it has had in years. Each week, we have been getting better and maturing as a team. We are looking forward to the matches on Saturday.
