
Rains Interrupt Cardinal Nine

LOUISVILLE, KY - The University of Louisville Cardinal baseball team managed to squeeze in an inning and a half before heavy rains swept across the Ohio Valley, postponing the Friday afternoon game between Louisville(3-3) and Kent State(1-6).
On Saturday at Noon at Cardinal Stadium, the teams will resume the game, which Kent lead 1-0 with no outs in the bottom of the second. Approximately 30 minutes later the team will play a nine-inning game.
On Sunday the teams will now play a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game beginning at Noon.
The game Friday began at 3:02 p.m. and was halted at 3:26 p.m. by heavy rains. At 4:02 p.m. the postponement was made official.
The Cardinals have already lost three games this season due to rain.
Admission to all games at Cardinal Stadium is free.
