The University of Louisville opened the doors to the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in 1994, giving the Cardinals one of the finest on-campus tennis centers in the nation. The facility, which currently features six indoor and eight outdoor courts, is named in honor of Lewis "Sonny" Bass and Mason Rudd, who each donated $150,000 toward its construction. The building also houses locker rooms, a conference room (Wimbledon Room) and offices to accompany its Deco-Turf surfaced courts.
