Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville men's soccer team earned its first ever Top 10 ranking in attendance. The Cardinals averaged 1,379 fans per game in their nine matches at Cardinal Park.
"It is great to be ranked as one of the nation's best in attendance after just three seasons in Cardinal Park," said head coach Tony Colavecchia. "We feel that Cardinal Park is one of the best soccer facilities and the hard work by our administration and staff has made it one of the best in the nation. We have a loyal fan base and hope to build on it by being competitive and bringing in top competition."
The Cardinals have been ranked in the top 40 of attendance the last two seasons. This season marked the most successful campaign for the Cardinals. They finished third in Conference USA and knocked off three nationally ranked teams this season.
Louisville had five games with over 1,000 fans. The biggest crowd was on Oct. 29 when the Cards hosted No. 14 Indiana with 3,054.
