Men's Soccer Kicks Off Spring Schedule

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team will kick off their spring schedule on Saturday, March 29 against Brescia University at noon on McDonald's Field. The Cards will also host the Cincinnati Riverhawks, an affiliate of the MLS's Columbus Crew, at 7:30 p.m. in Cardinal Park.
The Cardinals finished the fall season with 9-11 record. After the return of key players from injuries, the Cards won seven straight matches before falling to Saint Louis in the semifinals of the Conference USA Tournament. Freshman Jelani Grant and Simon Bird led the team in scoring with 13 and 10 points respectively.
On Friday, April 4, Louisville will host IUPUI at 3:00 p.m. on McDonald's Field before squaring up with Kentucky at 6:00 p.m. in Cardinal Park. Then on Sunday, April 6, the Cards will host Butler at 2:30 p.m. and East Central Junior College at 4:00 p.m. in Cardinal Park.
They will finish out the spring season on the road. Louisville will travel to Indiana on April 11 for an 8:30 p.m. match. On April 16, in Evansville they will face Division II GLVC finalist Southern Indiana at 5:30 p.m. and host Evansville at 7:00 p.m.
