Friday's Baseball Games Have Been Postponed

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville baseball team will have to wait at least one more day before opening its 2003 season as inclement weather has forced the postponement of Friday's scheduled doubleheader with Northern Illinois.
The two teams will meet in a doubleheader on Saturday, with game times still yet to be determined. The current forecast calls for rain to move out of the area Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday, U of L and Northern Illinois will play a doubleheader beginning with a nine-inning game at noon. A seven-inning matchup will follow.
"We are determined to play some baseball this weekend," said U of L head coach Lelo Prado. "The weather is not cooperating right now, but hopefully this front will move out of the area tomorrow and we'll be able to get some games in this weekend."
Game times for Saturday will be posted as soon as they become available.
