LOUISVILLE, KY - The University of Louisville baseball team has released its 2004 schedule.
The 56-game slate features six teams that reached the 2003 NCAA Regionals.
For the second time in four years, the Cards will open the season in California, with one game at Cal State Northridge before competing in the 2004 Public Storage Classic at 16th ranked USC.
In the tournament, the Cards will face the host Trojans, as well as 10th-ranked Notre Dame and San Diego State, who is coached by former major-leaguer Tony Gwynn.
Louisville will return home to face Eastern Kentucky in the home opener on February 25th at 3:00 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium.
The Conference USA season will open in Birmingham against UAB on March 19th for a three-game weekend set.
Cincinnati will visit the Derby City the following weekend to begin the home portion of the C-USA schedule.
The top eight teams in the conference will convene in Houston, Texas, May 26th-30th for the C-USA Tournament.
