After playing for U of L for three years, I feel that we are finally where we need to be to really make a presence in Conference USA and in the region. Our first showing had its ups and downs, but with 12 new players seeing time for the first time, I think everyone on the team will agree that this is the turning point for U of L soccer. Of the three goals, two were from freshmen combining with each other to put the ball in the back of the net. After watching the game, I realized that once all of the players' roles are sorted out, we won't have any weaknesses as a team. The praise for today's win belongs to the players behind the scenes in the midfield and defense.
