
Percan Named C-USA Volleyball Player of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville outside hitter Sonja Percan (PAIR-sin) was named as Conference USA's Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 8.
The 6-2 junior had an outstanding offensive week for the No. 22-ranked Cardinals. U of L has jumped out to the best start ever at 11-1 and 6-0 in the Conference.
In two C-USA matches last weekend, Percan led the Cardinals to a pair of victories with a 3-1 win over UAB and a 3-2 shootout with South Florida.
Against UAB, she had 26 kills, with an ace, a career high 18 digs and a block solo. Against USF on Sunday, she reset her own school record with 32 kills. She also had two blocks and an ace to her credit.
Louisville has a three-game homestand on tap with Cincinnati (10/10) Marquette (10/12) and DePaul (10/13) all at 7 p.m. at Cardinal Arena.
